Commercial Lines New Business Specialist

  • Posses knowledge of insurance industry changes and trends 

  • Maintain and develop product knowledge through participation in educational opportunities

  • Comply with Agency Procedures and Adhere to agency service standard and timelines

  • Utilize agency technology and software applications including agency management systems, document management systems and workflows

  • Backup Account Managers when needed

  • Collaborate with producers and other team members to address client service need

  • Adhere to the new business and renewal marketing process 

  • Work with producer and account manager to obtain required data throughout the marketing process

  • Assist in the preparation of summary, proposal and other documents

  • Review policies and other documents for quality assurance requirements in accordance with agency procedures

  • Identify and convey account rounding and cross sell opportunities

  • Recognize referral opportunities and submit prospects as appropriate

  • Assist producers with new business prospecting activities

  • Assist in Colleague Development

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management



  • High school diploma or equivalent
