  • Job description and requirements:
    • This position is in a CNC production machining and assembly facility producing automotive parts.
    • Knowledge of machining is required.
    • Hands on Supervision & Management
    • Overseeing the shifts employees.
    • Hiring / Firing of employees
    • Discipline of employees
    • Conduct employee meetings
    • Ensure compliance of quality policies and procedures
    • Provide job training
    • Enforce safety policies.
    • Must have strong organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Proven ability to work cross functionally
    • Experience with Microsoft Windows based PC’s.
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, & Word.
    • Must be available to work overtime and weekends when needed
    • Salary consideration is based on experience and skills
    • Minimum 15 years' supervision/management of a production machine shop.
    • Experience motivating employees to achieve a common goal of satisfying customers’ needs.
    • Will communicate with customers, suppliers, and fellow employees directly and via network e-mail.
    • Looking for an organized person with good communication skills.
    • Lead continuous improvement and 5S projects.
    • Attend APQP meetings and giving input on new production job launches.
    • PPAP’s, Control Plans, DFMEA’s, & PFEMEA’s
    •  
    • Preferred Experience is some of these areas is beneficial:
      • Setup and operation of CNC machining centers.
      • CNC programming (manually and offline).
      • Ability to set up jobs on the Horizontal CNC Machining Centers & Lathes.
      • Must have own tools and experience with Fanuc controls.
      • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with G & M codes
      • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints with GD&T tolerancing
      • Perform machine set-ups on repeat production runs
      • Help production operators change tooling and troubleshooting production runs
      • Experience with production fixtures (manual and hydraulic)
      • Experience machining aluminum and iron castings in a production environment
      • Understand care and use of gages
      • Programming experience in a production shop
  • Pay rate:
    • Depends on experience
  • Shift and hours required:
    • 1st shift
      • 6am or 7am start time
      • M-F (8hrs, 9hrs, or 10hrs per day)
      • Saturday’s (0hrs, 4hrs, 8hrs, or 10hrs)(depends on workload)
      • Sunday’s (occasionally)
